Tried to start writing with Hexo with GitHub pages 5 years back.
Failed to consistently keep up.
I thought issue was with the tools that I was using, so picked up another popular solution Jekyll.
It was tedious to write and manage posts in Markdown, esp when you have to look up formatting for things other than text. There are many good Markdown available today but I'm lazy to keep copying content from one place to another and tags.
